<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>Historical<\/h3>\nIn 1996, the mobilization of women in the borough led to the creation of a women’s centre that they wanted to call Femmes du monde \u00e0 C\u00f4te-des-Neiges.<\/h2>\n
The residents of the neighbourhood wanted to create a place of belonging, a safe living environment, a space that allowed them to address problems and collectively seek solutions.<\/p>\n
Over time, the center’s fields of action have become clearer. The center has developed around its services, its activities and through citizen mobilization. The choice to use both languages (French and English) was made in order to promote the inclusion of women who were still in the process of integration. Femmes du monde \u00e0 C\u00f4te-des-Neiges has also made its place in the neighbourhood’s dialogue, notably assuming leadership in the issues of gender equality and violence against women.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>Historical<\/h3>\nIn 1996, the mobilization of women in the borough led to the creation of a women’s centre that they wanted to call Femmes du monde \u00e0 C\u00f4te-des-Neiges.<\/h2>\n
The residents of the neighbourhood wanted to create a place of belonging, a safe living environment, a space that allowed them to address problems and collectively seek solutions.<\/p>\n
Over time, the center’s fields of action have become clearer. The center has developed around its services, its activities and through citizen mobilization. The choice to use both languages (French and English) was made in order to promote the inclusion of women who were still in the process of integration. Femmes du monde \u00e0 C\u00f4te-des-Neiges has also made its place in the neighbourhood’s dialogue, notably assuming leadership in the issues of gender equality and violence against women.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
