Objective
In a context where immigrant women working in precarious jobs in Quebec encounter difficulties in accessing legal resources and asserting their rights, this project seeks to address this issue. More specifically, this project aims to:
- Inform and raise awareness among vulnerable workers about their legal rights regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
- Facilitate access to legal and psychosocial resources for women who are victims of sexual harassment.
- Encourage employers in Côte-des-Neiges to adopt inclusive policies and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
Activities
In the fall of 2025, we held workshops on sexual harassment in the workplace at our facilities for participants and members of Femmes du monde in Côte-des-Neiges.
In 2026, we hope to expand our scope and offer these workshops to other immigrant women in the neighborhood and the Montreal area!
Public awareness tools
As part of the project, we developed tools for immigrant women to inform them about their rights and how to exercise them.
